if it is just soap film build up, wipe it down with a fabric softener sheet and it will come right off! What is a good way to clean clear vinyl shower liners?
i bought an expensive shower curtain and unfortunately there are many chemicals in my water that turned the curtain a funny shade of pink, anyhow i seen a programme and the topic at one pint was hot to clean the shower curtain, the lady put washing powder (clothes detergent) into the bath with luke warm water and placed the curtain into it, she then got the man to step on the curtain and within moments it was gleamingWhat is a good way to clean clear vinyl shower liners?
Honestly I always just go to the dollar store and buy a new one every couple of months. Then I just wash the shower curtain in the washing machine.
wash it like you do your clothes. washer machine then put in dryer
Well # 1 they're very cheap to buy new ones unless you have an expensive kind. Take it off, bring it out side, hose it down spray with a cleanser or better yet vinegar and water 1c./gal scrub with a mop, broom or dustpan broom scrub it. rinse dry over line , car, or picnic table. etc...
the best way is to take them down and throw them in the washing machine with some soap and bleach on cold,
Works great everytime, the washer does the scrubbing..
i usually throw a couple towels in with it to help move it around in the machine..
Good Luck
You don't really say why it needs cleaning. I'm going to guess that it's either soap/shampoo build-up, or mold. I would try using spray Clorox clean-up or some such thing, and rinse it with the shower. They make mildew-proof liners now that you can get for under $10...look at a drug store for those. Always rinse it after you are finished showering.
in the wash machine and hang em back up to dry
spray it down with soapscum remover each time you shower, then if you want to give it a good cleaning, put in washer.
honestly, i don't bother i just buy another one
it is just not worth it
if it's sturdy enough, I throw mine in the washing machine with a little bleach and detergent...one of mine shredded and the others are ok, they are a little sturdier...
I make it a practice to spray it with clean water after shower
to clear whatever grime that is stuck to it during shower.
I always like to throw mine in the washing machine with 1/4 c. of bleach. I then like to hang it to air dry. I usually do this about twice per month and it keeps it looking new and great. I also like to use Tilex after shower spray to keep it clear and clean! Try it! You will be pleasantly suprised! :)
yes wash them on a gentle cycle with a tad of bleach... and hang it up wet
i guess soap and water.
The best way to clean clear vinyl shower liners is to put them in the washing machine and wash them.
use the best detergent like Henko, it will be white as snow./
wash with light colored towels
I wash mine in the washing machine. It comes clean unless i've let it go too long and soap scum is too built up, in which case I buy a new one.
Fill the tub half way with water and lots of '; Clorox'; bleach, let it soak a little then swish it around, rinse and it's done.
A trip to the dollar store is in your future
Vinyl showers liners are inexpensive so I change mine every couple of months or when necessary. It's less hassle than trying to scrub in down.
i just throw mine in the washing machine! i use borax or a bit of bleach as the detergent, it works great!
im sure plain old laundry detergent would work also
I buy several at a time, when I machine wash the curtain I change the liner. In between changes I spray with bleach solution in a spray. Rinse. No mold.
Agitation from the washer makes the liner cloudy.
I like the ones IKEA sells, they are a little longer than the dollar store kind.
Wash in the washing machine. Cold water and the original pine sol. pine sol cuts grease and grime. It is also good for jeans. It sanitizes without using a bleach product.
